Elizabeth Davis’ Bio

Elizabeth Davis is the Queen of Healthy Haircare. Her passion has always been beautiful hair, wellness and business. Through her belief in God, prayer and self-discovery she combined her passions into a high value enterprise. 

She is formally educated at Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Technology. She made her mark in the building industry by managing multi-million dollar construction projects for various well-known corporate clients. 

Although she is an engineer and project manager by education and work experience, she is enthusiastic about her business – Shedavi – which provides natural, botanically-based holistic hair, skin and nail products to women, men and children of all hair types globally. 

Elizabeth is a true believer that God gives you everything you need, makes you everything you're to be and with faith and works your most lofty dreams can be achieved as she is living proof.

Interview Highlights

After working in Corporate for several years Elizabeth decided she wanted to be a business owner. She wrecked her brain trying to decide on the type of business she wanted to start, while the answer was right in front of her the entire time. Once she realized the solution did not have to be complex, Elizabeth turned her passion for making her own hair care products into a lucrative and productive business. 

To become a successful business owner Elizabeth exercised extreme discipline by choosing to sacrifice short term fun for long term gain. To become great Elizabeth studied those that were great at business, so she had an example to follow. To stay ahead in business it’s important to keep up with industry trends, Elizabeth does this by subscribing to the latest and most relevant outlets.

Elizabeth stresses the importance of a healthy mindset to stay the course in entrepreneurship. Elizabeth is also an advocate for seeking therapy and decided to seek therapy herself to assist her in becoming a successful entrepreneur. Elizabeth understands the connection between our mind and our business pursuits, and makes sure she is showing up in a healthy manner.
