Tammy Charles’ passion for community impact and development has allowed her to train, consult, and coach more than 30 nonprofits and social enterprises. Also, she has raised over $10 million in financial and non-financial support in her career to support impact areas such as economic empowerment, social justice, poverty alleviation, health equity, racial justice, social innovation, and more. 

She the Founder and Chief Strategist at Inovo Strategic Consulting, a global consulting firm that helps purpose-driven leaders implement and fund their novel ideas by creating innovative business models to pursue social change. 

She works with Fortune 500 companies, foundations, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits nationally and internationally to provide innovative training, consulting, and coaching in board and leadership development, fundraising, storytelling, organizational management and effectiveness, social impact strategy, and social innovation.

She is also the founder of the social enterprise, Tampa Bay Spark, where the organization’s mission is to equip and train business and community professionals to co-create and implement strategies and solutions that will lead to economic justice, equality, and inclusion for the communities and companies that they serve and lead. 

Tammy is an Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough Community College and The University of Tampa, where she teaches social entrepreneurship, business, and management. 

Charles has received numerous awards and accolades, including receiving the prestigious 2018 Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, becoming the first woman of color in the Chamber’s history to receive this honor. She has also received the 2014 President Bill Clinton’s Commitment to Action Award, 2016 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comer Award for the Under 30 Category, 2017 New Leaders Council Fellow, 2020 Business Observer’s 40 under 40 Award and was honored by The University of Tampa with the 2017 Young Alumnus Award for her professional accomplishments and civic engagement.
